Hi, I’m Dr. Allison Bay—public health practitioner, storyteller, and resilient soul with a heart for justice and a love for real conversation. My journey has taken me from rural Ohio to the Philippines, from trauma-informed youth work to federal service, and now to a new chapter: creating space for reflection, healing, and dialogue.

PositionaliTea is where I bring all of that—lived experience, academic training, and passion for people—into one spot. This is my offering to those seeking clarity, connection, and growth.

Certified CRM® Teacher | Trauma-Informed Wellness Coach

The Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) is a practical, body-based set of wellness skills designed to help individuals manage stress, restore balance, and build resilience by working with the biology of the nervous system. In our private 1:1 sessions, you will learn and apply six core CRM® skills that support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and nervous system health—no therapy or clinical background required.

🛠️ CRM® Skills and Their Purposes

  1. Tracking
    Purpose: Learn to notice and name physical sensations in the body, helping you reconnect with your present-moment experience. Tracking increases body awareness and allows you to identify when you’re in or out of your Resilient Zone.

  2. Resourcing
    Purpose: Activate inner strength and safety by recalling personal or imagined people, places, or things that bring peace or comfort. Resourcing helps regulate the nervous system and shift focus from distress to stability.

  3. Grounding
    Purpose: Anchor yourself in the present through physical connection with surfaces like a chair or the floor. Grounding helps reduce anxiety, racing thoughts, and dissociation by fostering a sense of safety and “here-and-now” awareness.

  4. Gesturing
    Purpose: Use natural, self-soothing movements to support nervous system regulation. Gestures can arise spontaneously and help express or reinforce positive emotional shifts and personal empowerment.

  5. Help Now! Strategies
    Purpose: Learn a variety of simple, immediate actions to restore balance when overwhelmed or out of your Resilient Zone. These tools are easy to use, accessible anytime, and can be especially helpful in moments of acute stress.

  6. Shift and Stay
    Purpose: Strengthen your ability to focus on positive or neutral sensations for short periods, which helps “rewire” the nervous system to return more easily to a regulated state.

    Purpose: Promote meditation, inner calm, balance, and self-awareness. Used to center emotions and connect with the subconscious through structured, symbolic design.

  2. Vision Boards / Dream Boards
    Purpose: Help clients identify goals, dreams, and intentions. Used for visualization, motivation, and manifestation of future outcomes.

  3. Affirmation Art
    Purpose: Reinforce positive beliefs and self-concepts. Combines creativity with cognitive reframing to boost confidence and shift limiting thought patterns.

  4. Mindfulness Drawing & Coloring
    Purpose: Reduce stress and anxiety by encouraging presence and focus. Enhances emotional regulation and promotes a calming, meditative state.

  5. Guided Art-Based Meditation
    Purpose: Integrate relaxation techniques with visual and creative imagery. Used to access inner wisdom and promote healing and clarity.

  6. Expressive Painting & Free Drawing
    Purpose: Encourage unfiltered emotional expression and release. Allows clients to access and explore feelings that are difficult to verbalize.

  7. Journaling with Art Prompts
    Purpose: Deepen reflection and meaning-making. Combines writing and visual expression to promote self-exploration and emotional insight.
